I have extensive experience helping clients stop smoking and I love my work! I opened my private practice, Positive Spiral Hypnosis, in 2008, Chapel Hill, North Carolina. One of my specialties is pediatric and adolescent functional gastrointestinal (GI) disorders. From 2015-2018 I was an adjunct assistant professor at UNC School of Dentistry, helping to run a hypnosis clinic for patients with dental anxiety. I consult with clients in person and also online via Zoom.
I have PhD in Educational Psychology, and I am a certified hypnotherapist and hypnosis instructor with the National Guild of Hypnotists.
I am certified in Hypnotherapy, Transactional Analysis, and Advanced Integrative Therapy. I became a certified hypnosis instructor in 2011 and I teach the National Guild of Hypnotists' 100-hour basic hypnosis certification course several times a year.
My professional memberships include:
American Psychological Association (APA)
APA Division 30 (Society for Psychological Hypnosis)
International Medical and Dental Hypnosis Association
National Guild of Hypnotists (NGH)
Human Givens Institute (MHGI)
